How coriander leaves are used

  • Garnish for curries, dals, rice and snacks
  • Kothimeera chutney and green chutney
  • Dried leaves stirred into gravies and soups
  • Leaf powder in masalas and ready-to-cook mixes

Keep fresh coriander from wilting

  • Put the stems in a glass of water, cover the leaves loosely and keep it in the fridge.
  • Or wrap dry leaves in a paper towel inside an airtight box.
  • Do not wash until you are ready to use them.

Kept this way, fresh coriander lasts about a week.

Dried leaves and powder

Dried coriander leaves and powder keep for months in an airtight jar. They are handy when fresh coriander is not available.
