Everyday ways to use moringa leaves

  • Munagaku pappu: fresh leaves cooked into dal
  • Stir-fried with onion and coconut
  • Added to adai, dosa batter or rotis
  • Powder stirred into dal, curd rice or smoothies

Fresh, dried or powder?

Fresh leaves cook quickly and taste mild. Dried leaves and powder are easier to keep and to add in small amounts to daily food.

How to store moringa leaves

  • Fresh: strip leaves from the stems, keep them dry in a box in the fridge and use within 2 to 3 days.
  • Dried and powder: airtight jar, away from sunlight and moisture.
